This application to build a private dwelling house was the subject of a further information request from Laois County Council. The northern edge of the proposed development site clipped the southern part of the zone of archaeological potential established around the remains of the monastic site at Clonagh (LA032–007). Eight trenches were excavated at various locations throughout the site. No archaeological features or finds were recorded.
