Monitoring was carried out during November 2007 at Aghaboe, Co. Laois, in response to the Aghaboe pipeline, which forms part of the Ballacolla group water scheme. Works associated with the scheme incorporated disturbance to both greenfield sites and the existing roadway. Nothing of archaeological significance was noted within any of the pipe trenches excavated during monitoring.
