The proposed development (dairy unit, silage pit, associated drainage works and entrance) at Woolengrange, Thomastown, lay adjacent to a ringfort site that is marked on the OS map of 1839 but was levelled in the 1970s. A total of thirteen test-trenches were excavated. No archaeological stratigraphy was exposed.
