This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown on generally flat land under pasture with a gentle eastern aspect and represents the line of a linear earthwork, KK026–006. The linear earthwork consisted of a U-shaped ditch and a bank, surviving up to c. 1m, which were visible before commencement of archaeological works. The remains were incorporated into an existing field boundary/ditch system. An area c.10m long was opened up on both sides of the monument but revealed nothing except ploughmarks and gullies running towards the ditch.
