Monitoring of topsoil-stripping was conducted in the townland of Mullinavat, Co. Kilkenny, in the course of work carried out for Kilkenny County Council/National Roads Authority during the N9/N10 Waterford to Powerstown scheme (77m OD; Chainage 10000–10090). The area was monitored in April 2007.
Three isolated pits were identified and later excavated under licence number E3328 (see No. 992, Excavations 2007, A032/032).
