This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown, on pastureland. The burnt mound, orientated north–south, was divided in two by a stream. The visible extent of the burnt mound measured 35m by 15m, with a depth of 0.35m; it was bounded to the west by the edge of the road-take and therefore its exact dimensions could not be established. Associated features beneath the burnt mound comprised of a large rectangular trough (3.4m by 2.3m by 0.45m), a possible trough truncated by the stream, a small hearth and several pits. A subrectangular structure with eighteen post- and stake-holes lay beneath the burnt mound; the exact extent and formation of this structure is unknown due to it continuing outside the road-take. One pit, which was located on the eastern edge of the burnt mound, contained a chert arrowhead.
