This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown, in a flat field with general views of the surrounding areas. A modern limestone quarry was located to the north-east of the site. An area 23.5m by 30m was stripped and a large, subrectangular pit (1.46m length by 1.1m width) with a charcoal-rich fill with four stake-holes and a post-hole in its base was revealed. A possible circular hearth (0.55m diameter by 0.12m depth) with an oxidised base was located c. 10.5m to the south-east of this pit. A second hearth (0.88m by 0.72m by 0.11m) containing charcoal and heat-shattered stone also had an oxidised base. A possible cremation pit (0.4m by 0.62m by 0.38m) was covered with a saddle quernstone which was lying face down on the pit; the association between the stone and the pit is unknown.
