This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown, on a south-sloping field, adjacent to a stream. A pit (0.6m by 0.42m by 0.19m depth) containing pottery was identified during testing and due to its proximity to the wayleave of a proposed gas line the feature was resolved at that stage. However, an area was opened around the pit during the excavation phase of the scheme to ensure no further features had been missed. A further pit (0.45m by 0.5m by 0.09m depth) was identified containing a possible stake-hole at its base.
