This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown, just east of an ecclesiastical enclosure. The site was multi-period, dating from the prehistoric to the early medieval periods. The prehistoric activity was represented by a series isolated pits, post-holes, hearths and a circular series of pits which contained flint and a broken polished stone axe. A total of 92 burials were located at the eastern part of the site and no enclosing ditch was detected. All the burials were east–west-aligned and were contained within simple graves, with only a small amount containing evidence of stone lining. Three cereal-drying kilns were located to the south of the burial area and were probably contemporary with the ecclesiastical site to the west.
