This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4, Knocktopher to Powerstown, in intensively farmed lands on a gentle south-facing slope and was identified during test-trenching. An area 30m by 30m was stripped of topsoil and seven features of archaeological potential were recorded. A scatter of four possible post-pits, a hearth 0.66m by 0.48m by 0.18m deep and two small hearth waste pits were identified in no discernible pattern. The hearth cut was fire reddened and had been subjected to considerable heat; nothing diagnostic of date was recovered from any of these features.
