This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown on a small hill with a commanding view of the surrounding landscape. Despite this prominent location the site was particularly waterlogged. Large troughs containing archaeological layers indicated that this water was used as an amenity. A large number of pits and post-holes were also uncovered during excavation. With the exception of a small circular stake-built structure (containing a pit with some burnt bone), there were no coherent patterns to the vast majority of features. Some sherds of prehistoric pottery and a possible whetstone were recovered during excavation.
