This site was located within the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford road scheme along Contract 2, Phase 4B, Knocktopher to Powerstown, at the edge of a waterlogged field in heavily cultivated agricultural land. An area 20m by 20m was stripped of topsoil along with a south-west extension of 5m by 5m. A pit (0.8m by 0.75m by 0.22m depth) filled with heat-fractured stone and charcoal was identified at the northern edge of the site that may have been associated with nearby burnt-mound activity. A hearth and three stake-holes were located on the south-western edge of the site, 28m from the pit; the stake-holes may be the remains of a windbreak or shelter associated with the hearth.
