This site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme, Phase 3: Kilcullen to Carlow. A solitary pit/hearth was uncovered during testing by CRDS Ltd. An area measuring 100m2 was stripped of topsoil prior to the excavation. The pit was fully excavated. Evidence of in situ burning would suggest that it might represent an ephemeral fire-spot. No additional features were identified.
