This site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme, Phase 3: Kilcullen to Carlow. Excavation revealed a circular ditch, c. 5.5m in outer circumference, 0.5m wide and 0.45m in depth. A loosely compacted brown sandy silt overlay a basal fill of loose stones which produced finds of modern china, glass, red brick, lime and some ferrous objects. The feature was modern in origin, and may have been an ornamental garden feature, possibly part of the local estate houses in the vicinity of Ballitore, Co. Kildare.
