This site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme, Phase 3: Kilcullen to Carlow. A small excavation area revealed a single oval-shaped pit, 0.65m north–south by 0.45m, 0.1m in depth, filled with heat-shattered stone and a large amount of charcoal and was of indeterminate date and function. Further analysis of the charcoal is ongoing.
