This site was excavated as part of the N9/N10 Kilcullen to Waterford scheme, Phase 3: Kilcullen to Carlow. Centreline trenching (CRDS 2006) identified a circular bowl-shaped cut 1.1m by 0.25m deep. Ash and silted deposits filled the cut. Excavation of the feature produced no dating evidence. The location of the pit, in low-lying and poorly drained land, could explain its silting. No other archaeological features were identified on the site.
