Monitoring was carried out in the area proposed for extension of the wastewater treatment plant at Ballymore Eustace, Co. Kildare. Approximately 0.3m of topsoil was stripped over most of the area, exposing slightly mottled yellow/brown/grey clay. Finds included occasional and sporadic plastics, red brick and other modern material, the oldest being a sherd of brownware. The underlying sand gravels common over this area was not reached. A Neolithic retouched flint was uncovered during the monitoring. Nothing else of archaeological significance was recorded at the site.
