Testing took place at the proposed site of a bungalow at Laharan South, Caherciveen, in June 2007. The site lies c. 25m south-west of KE088–002, an overgrown circular enclosure known locally as a children’s burial-ground, and also referred to by the former landowners as ‘the lios’. Four trenches were opened in the development area; nothing of archaeological significance was encountered.
