Pre-development testing was undertaken on a proposed development of four dwellings with associated site works. Five test-trenches were excavated across the entire site. The trenches were orientated east–west, 100m long by 1.5m wide by 0.3–0.4m deep and 10m apart. In this way, all locations for driveways, dwellings, garages and percolation areas were tested, taking into account the possibility that design plans may alter in the future. No archaeological features were recorded.
