The development at Garranebane, Caherciveen, consisted of the construction of 57 dwelling units together with access roadway and estate roads, site services, new site entrance and ancillary site works. Twenty-three test-trenches were excavated on the site at regular intervals. A metal-detector survey was also carried out (licence 07R0036). No features were exposed during testing of the site nor finds encountered during metal detecting.
