Pre-development testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed dwelling house in Kilcooly, Loughrea, Co. Galway. The development site is located in the vicinity of a castle (GA106–094). Three trenches excavated revealed no features of archaeological significance. The stratigraphy consisted of sod and topsoil overlying natural layers.
