In November 2007 pre-development testing was undertaken at the site of a proposed dwelling house in Gorteenlahard, Moylough, Co. Galway. The development site is located 80m from an enclosure and children’s burial-ground (GA045–022). Three trenches excavated revealed no features of archaeological significance. The stratigraphy consisted of sod and topsoil overlying natural layers.
