This burnt-mound site, discovered at 24m OD in undulating land adjacent to wetland during test excavations on the route of the N18 Gort to Crusheen road scheme, was excavated during October 2007. The spread was made up of heat-shattered limestone. It measured 8.5m north–south by 6.5m. The maximum depth was 0.25m. The spread covered one oval earth-cut trough. This trough had a marked break of slope at the top. The sides and base were concave. It measured 1.62m north-west/south-east by a width of 1.3m. The maximum depth was 0.5m. It contained grey clay as a basal fill and the top of the feature had filled with peat. There were no artefacts found on this site.
