Four test-trenches were excavated on the site of a planned house, domestic garage and associated services on the outskirts of the village of Kilconnell, near a friary, GA086–001. The stratigraphy encountered consisted of a mid-brown silty topsoil overlying a pale orange/brown silty subsoil, which had some small limestone boulders within it. No finds or features of archaeological interest were recorded in the test-trenches.
