The final stage of monitoring at this site at the junction of the Greenhills Road and the Tallaght bypass began in August 2007 and was completed in January 2008. The surface was removed in stages to make way for an underground carpark. The first stage comprised the removal of the westernmost area, previously the site of a surface carpark and an industrial yard. Any possible archaeological deposits in this area were heavily disturbed. The second and final stage of the ground removal included an area of undeveloped soils, adjacent to Greenhills, which had been the subject of a test excavation by Stuart Halliday in 2004 (Excavations 2004, No. 656). Despite intensive examination of the soils, there were no archaeological features recovered. The monitoring brought an end to ongoing investigations on the site since 2004.
