The site for a single dwelling at Bishopslane lies close to the medieval church and graveyard. Test excavation was undertaken as monitored mechanical clearance of topsoil over the entire area of the proposed dwelling and access route. A series of parallel cultivation furrows of probable late 18th-century date were exposed over part of the site. Topsoil contained a small quantity of abraded medieval pottery sherds and 18th–20th-century pottery. No other finds or features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
