This work was undertaken in advance of the construction of an apartment block. The proposed development site consisted of an area measuring c. 30m by 12m, which was formerly occupied by a single-storey domestic building. Testing of the site at was conducted on 17 July 2007. Two parallel trenches were excavated to natural subsoil level across the length of the site. No features of archaeological significance were recorded.
