Monitoring was carried out on the outskirts of Ballyboghil village in north County Dublin during the autumn of 2007. The proposed development is 100m to the north-west of church and graveyard site DU007–010(01, 02). A previous archaeological assessment of the site by Sinéad Phelan in 2006 revealed nothing of archaeological significance (Excavations 2006, No. 560).
No evidence for any archaeological features or remains was revealed during the monitoring. Only a small portion of the site was subject to earth-moving works. Any future works within the footprint of the development will be monitored in the forthcoming year.
