Testing was carried out on this site during September of 2007 in order to confirm the presence of DU014–022. The location of the enclosure or ringfort was identified through a cropmark on an aerial photograph, CUCAP BDQ 69.
A geophysical survey was carried out in the north-west section of the site, which is located in the former sports ground of Silloge Park. A second geophysical survey was carried out as part of an environmental impact statement. No potential archaeological features were identified.
Five test-trenches were excavated across the possible location of the enclosure. No features or deposits of archaeological significance were identified. Subsequent monitoring of earthworks within the general area revealed nothing of archaeological significance. Any further works on the development site will be monitored throughout the coming year.
