It is proposed to construct a replacement dwelling and garage on land located at 37 Drumarkin Road, Tirfergus, Rathfriland, Co. Down. An archaeological evaluation was conducted that consisted of three test-trenches being excavated across the footprints of the replacement buildings using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket. Nothing of archaeological significance was uncovered.
