An evaluation was carried out on site between 14 and 23 March 2007. The proposed development was to involve the large-scale modification of the existing wastewater treatment works. Investigations took the form of both the excavation of test-trenches and monitored topsoil-stripping. The stratigraphic sequence consisted of undisturbed subsoil immediately underlying overburden. No archaeological deposits were uncovered.
