It is proposed to construct a residential development to the rear of Nos 1–3 High Street, Portaferry. Monitoring of topsoil removal was undertaken at the site prior to construction commencing. The monitoring revealed no evidence of archaeological deposits and indicated that the development area has been artificially raised by up to 2m across the entire area of the site.
