It is proposed to construct a golf driving range on land adjacent to the Ballywarren Road, Downpatrick, Co. Down. Construction work commenced prior to a programme of works being agreed. Following a site meeting with DOE:EHS a remedial programme was established and agreed. Following completion of the remedial works, no evidence of archaeological deposits was identified within the area of the proposed development site.
