It is proposed to construct a residential housing development on lands at 222 Ballynahinch Road, Ballycrune, Annahilt, Co. Down. Eight test-trenches were excavated across the site to evaluate its archaeological potential. This revealed an area of improved grassland, where attempts were made to drain hollows located within the site boundary. The field drains were all modern, as they consisted of plastic pipes covered by gravel. Nothing of archaeological significance was found within the test-trenches.
