Monitoring took place of the removal of a concrete floor in a 19th-century warehouse adjacent to medieval merchants’ buildings belonging to the so-called Ardglass Castle complex of buildings. Removal of the concrete floor and level reduction to the required depth was carried out by a mechanical excavator. Bedrock and natural sands were encountered within a few centimetres of the base of the concrete floor. No features of archaeological significance were uncovered.
