Archaeological investigations were carried out between 22 and 24 January 2007. The proposed development was for the construction of an apartment block on the site of a demolished property. This involved the monitoring of sixteen mechanically excavated foundation trenches. All sixteen trenches revealed a uniform stratigraphic sequence of modern overburden overlying undisturbed subsoil. All the disturbance on site was as a result of modern activity. No archaeological remains were uncovered.
