It is proposed to redevelop the area of Christie Park, Coleraine, creating additional recreational facilities. An archaeological evaluation was conducted at the site. This consisted of the excavation of four test-trenches across the area of the proposed development. The evaluation revealed no evidence of archaeological deposits and indicated that the development area had been used as a town dumping site that had been reclaimed to create Christie Park.
