Pre-development testing was carried out on 5 September 2007 in advance of the construction of a cattle shed and associated storage areas within the zone of archaeological potential of a ringfort and souterrain (CO096–045(01, 02)) at Roughgrove East, Bandon. Five test-trenches were excavated. The stratigraphy consisted of between 0.3m and 0.6m of a mid-grey/brown loamy topsoil overlying a yellow/brown boulder clay. No archaeological features or finds were noted.
