Seven test-trenches were opened on this proposed development site at Lettergorman, Dunmanway, using a mechanical excavator. It is near a possible ringfort. The stratigraphy in all seven trenches was the same and consisted of c. 0.4m of topsoil, which overlay a light-orange/grey, gravelly boulder clay. No finds or features of an archaeological nature were noted.
