Pre-development testing was undertaken at the site of a single-house development with associated site works at Kishkeam, Reandallane, in September 2007. The development site was located within the zone of archaeological potential for a standing stone, CO021–037.

Four test-trenches were excavated across the development site, including the house platform, garage and percolation area. The trenches measured 15–40m long by 1.5m wide and were generally 0.3m deep. Results from the four trenches were similar. Topsoil was composed of 0.3m of mid-brown silt over orange clay subsoil. No potential archaeological features or artefacts were recorded.
