Testing of a development site at Dromsicane, Millstreet, Co. Cork, was carried out as part of an assessment. The proposed development consisted of the construction of a slurry tank, effluent tank and flow channel adjacent to the bawn of Dromsicane Castle (CO039–017). Two test-trenches were excavated in the area of the proposed development. The southern and south-eastern portions of the development site were unsuitable for testing, as they were comprised of an open slurry pit and concreted area further to the east. No archaeological finds, features or deposits relating to the nearby castle were uncovered.
