The proposed development involved a single house with ancillary works which encompassed an area of 3200m2. The proposed development is located c. 40m to the west of a ringfort, CO002–097. Monitoring was conducted on 10 July 2007 and no finds or features of archaeological significance were exposed. A development across the road in Killaree within the archaeological constraint of CO002–097 was also tested the same day and sixteen features of archaeological significance were exposed in the eight trenches excavated across the site (see No. 273, 07E0235, below).
