Investigations took place along the route of the proposed N18 Gort to Crusheen road scheme. The group of drystone structures at Curraderra (Site 207) is located on the line of the proposed N18 and a proposed realigned access road. These were identified in the EIS as shooting butts, but it is possible that they are lambing pens. There was no indication in the EIS of the identification of these structures on cartographic sources. The test-trenches yielded no information to suggest any of the drystone structures were of archaeological significance.
