A disturbed spread was discovered at the base of a hill at the edge of a wetland area in Ballyline townland in north County Clare. The site comprised a pit and a small burnt spread. The pit measured 1.75m north–south by 1.68m by 0.14m deep and contained a large amount of heat-affected limestone. The burnt spread was 0.55m north–south by 0.48m by 0.04m deep. A shallow ditch, 0.5m wide and 0.08m deep, ran north-east/south-west across the site and cut through both features. The site was considered to represent modern field clearance.
