Monitoring of topsoil removal for a wastewater treatment plant at Rathercan, Fennagh, Co. Carlow, was carried out over one day. Topsoil was stripped over an area measuring c. 60m by 30m and natural boulder clay was exposed throughout. No archaeological finds, features or deposits were uncovered during monitoring.
