It is proposed to construct a residential housing development comprising 90 units on lands at Main Road, Glynn, Larne, Co. Antrim. Prior to planning permission being granted, an archaeological evaluation of the site was undertaken. This consisted of a 100% topsoil-strip of the proposed development site. During the course of the evaluation a single feature of archaeological significance was identified. This consisted of a spread of charcoal-rich material containing frequent inclusions of cremated bone.
