It is proposed to demolish an existing building and erect a new office development and associated underground parking at the site of Law Society House. An archaeological evaluation was conducted at the site. The evaluation revealed no evidence of archaeological deposits, which, if any existed, were obliterated by the extensive and deep foundations of the previous building that occupied the site. This was because the ground level within the confines of the development had been reduced by 2m to facilitate the work on these foundations.
