It is proposed to redevelop the site of the existing ‘Superbowl’, Clarence Street West, Belfast. Under the terms of planning conditions an archaeological programme of works was established, which recommended monitoring of ground-penetrating works within the development area. Monitoring revealed that, while the proposed development lies within an area of potential archaeological activity, previous developments on the site had removed any evidence of this activity.
