It is proposed to demolish the existing building and construct two three-storey retail units at 7–11 Castle Lane, Belfast. Five test-trenches were excavated across the site using a back-acting machine fitted with a toothless bucket. The trenches revealed fragmented remains of six stone and mortar and red brick and mortar walls, along with two drains, two possible brick surfaces and a red-brick culvert.
