It is proposed to redevelop the existing Parkhall College site. Prior to construction works commencing, an archaeological evaluation of the site was undertaken. Five test-trenches were excavated to evaluate the site’s archaeological potential. This revealed that the site has been extensively disturbed in the recent past to create the existing level playing fields, with the reduction of ground to the far south-west of the site and the raising of the ground level to the north-east. No evidence of any archaeological features was identified during the course of the evaluation.
